Depending on the defined handling and performance level of the RO-NI timepiece, the structural lines, bridges, and plates, which in RO-NI are made of titanium , have been made of carbon fiber since 2020. RO-NI manufactures everything fr om a single bridge to an entire carbon fiber structure entirely in-house: RO-NI is the first manufacturer in the world to have developed and implemented this cutting-edge solution. Having a carbon fiber structure prevents corrosion over time, guarantees perfect dimensional stability, and minimizes weight. Carbon fiber components do not vary with temperature variations, ensuring perfect mechanical layout, perfect coupling, and gears always in the ideal design position: perfection exists.

CARBON FIBER TOURBILLON BRIDGE - ENGINEERING EXCELLENCE

AFTER TWO YEARS OF RESEARCH IN 2023 WE HAVE BULITED THE WORLD-FIRST TORUBILLON BRIDGE IN carbon fiber.

With a carbon fiber Incablock closure, it has reduced dynamic suspended mass by 60%: it has reduced cage tension, bearing stress, and thrust and friction. Combined with the low-friction carbon fiber barrel, it has increased the power reserve from 70 hours to 90 hours.

BACK PLATE OF BARREL - MAXIMUM SMOOTHNESS

WE HAVE MADE THE BARREL REAR FLANGE OF PURE CARBON FIBER WITH A VERY REDUCED THICKNESS. THE SPRING SLIDES ALONG THE FIBER, SELF-LUBRICATING THE GRAPHITE, ELIMINATING MUCH OF THE FRICTION AND ENSURING HIGH THRUST WHERE FRICTION AFFECTS WHEN THE SPRING LOSES ITS PRIMARY FORCE. INTEGRATED TO THE CARBON FIBER TOURBILLON BRIDGE, BY OVERCOMING FRICTION WE HAVE GONE FROM A POWER RESERVE OF 70 HOURS TO 90 HOURS

CARBON FIBER OSCILLATING BALANCE BRIDGE - B1 -

After creating the Superleggero with a carbon fiber structure, we created a very complex component for our RP3R: THE OSCILLATING BRIDGE. Made of high-density carbon fiber, it features a very thin support structure for the balance wheel, capable of oscillating when subjected to vibrations.

Given the bridge's reduced thickness, the mechanical assembly of th e balance wheel is very complex for each watch and requires extremely high levels of skill and experience. These oscillations, which preserve the balance wheel's dynamics, require that the gears near the balance wheel be hand-crafted to smooth the couplings during the vertical movement: a time-consuming and complex process that is only possible if performed by highly skilled craftsmen.

CARBON FIBER MICROROTORS - MC-1 -

We designed and manufactured our MC-1 carbon fiber microrotor in-house. Our 1.41-gram carbon fiber and gold MC-1S microrotor increases performance to approximately 56 hours of power reserve, compared to a our traditional 5- gram microrotor with 52 hours. Beyond this performance, the 72% lighter MC-1S microrotor guarantees infinitely longer life for wear parts. The MC-1 is available in two variants: the MC-1S in carbon fiber and gold and the MC-1R in carbon fiber and platinum, with 60 hours of power reserve for professional use.

CG-3-SV CARBOGRAPHENE SUSPENSION

All our watches feature internal carbon-graphene suspension capable of dampening vibrations at multiple levels depending on the define d handling. We have developed a carbon fiber and graphene composite that is approximately 30% more sensitive to vibrations, as measured by professional accelerometers. We sintered the graphene with the carbon fiber, improving the smoothness between the fibers, and applied the material to our 0.29mm suspension, achieving highly sensitive suspension.

CARBON FIBER HANDS

With their infinitesimal and unparalleled weight, carbon fiber hands eliminate stress on the shafts and the gears connected to them, ensuring long-lasting durability and perfect dynamics. Maintenance is facilitated by the ability to disassemble and reassemble the hands countless times without changing the housing diameters: carbon fiber has an elastic memory.

3-4 AXLE SUSPENSION

Thanks to the combination of two separate chassis, we were able to create suspension systems articulated on multiple axes. Between the two chassis, we have radial suspension, complemented by internal suspension on the third axle. We also have racing solutions in which the carbon-rub traction bridges positioned between the two chassis are flexible, resulting i n a 4D damping system unlike the RO-NI Superleggero. - description only in house -

RCS RADIAL DAMPER

Since our very first watch, each case has featured an NBR rubber damper, pressed into a plate at 9 o'clock, to reduce initial radial vibrations.
